After-hours access

For safety, the hospital is locked from 9pm till 6.30am.

During this time, access can be gained at the entry to Birth Suite at University Hospital Geelong via the main entrance on Bellerine St. There is an intercom linked to Birth Suite and the midwives will allow you access to the hospital.

It is advised that you call ahead of time so that we can plan for your arrival.

The maternity entrance on Myers St is now closed for a period of time during the construction of Barwon Women’s and Children’s. During this time all maternity patients (including after-hours) enter via main entrance (Bellerine St). Please speak to our Maternity Services staff should you have any questions.
